Baby Rice Porridge


  • Most Suitable for:  Babies between 8-10 months
  • Ingredients:  
  • 1/ 4 cup red rice
  • 2 ½ cups of water
  • Small pinch of iodized salt


  • Clean the rice and ensure there are no stones etc
  • Wash the rice several times until the water is clear
  • Put into a saucepan with the water and salt
  • Bring to boil
  • Once the rice reaches boiling point bring to a slow simmer
  • When the rice has broken down, it should look like small soft broken pieces.
  • Purée the mixture in a blender until there are no lumpy pieces
  • Serve fresh
